I am a studio potter, living and working in Cape Town, South Africa. I work primarily on the potters wheel, although I also occasionaly hand build.  I high fire my work to cone 8 down in the electric kiln and cone 9 down in reduction.

I have a Fine Arts Sculpture (hons) degree from Norwich School of Art and Design in the UK. However, my training in ceramics came from apprenticing with my much loved dad, David Walters. My mother, Michelle Walters (also muched loved!) also has a ceramics degree and helps me curate our little gallery in Newlands Village, Cape Town. I am in fact a third generation potter because my grandmother Gillian Anderson was also a professional potter for most of her life. I believe you never stop learning when you work with clay, and continue to research and experiment in my practice.
